Drake made a surprise appearance at Toronto’s Young and Dundas square this weekend, surprising punters by performing his track Energy before a Toronto Raptor’s basketball game.

The Canadian musician, who released his fourth studio LP Views (former Views From The 6) at the end of last week, was joined by Justin Bieber on stage – sending the crowd into an absolute frenzy.

Drizzy then announced that Views had sold 630,000 units in its first day of release. The number matches up with projections from the site Daily Double, which suggest that Drake is due to sell 1.2 million units including streams, and he has a good chance at becoming the third artist ever to achieve 100 million streams in a week.
“I got a text message that we sold like 630,000-something records in one night, so that’s the first time I’ve ever done that shit, so thank you very much,” Drake said.
