Drake was in his hometown of Toronto for Christmas with the family. On Christmas night, he took time to travel the streets in the back of a black Maybach, giving out money to lucky locals.
Drake is a very wealthy individual. In 2019, Forbes estimated the child actor come hip hop and pop behemoth to have a net worth of $150 million USD. More recent estimates put Drake’s wealth closer to $200m.
It’s a meagre sum compared to Kanye’s $1.8 billion USD, but it’s still more money that any individual could ever possibly need. And so, recognising this, Drake decided to roll around Toronto on Christmas night and hand out stacks of cash to some lucky Torontonians, as reported by RapTV.
One recipient posted a video of their bounty to their Instagram stories, captioning the post, “[Drake] giving away racks for Christmas. Life’s fucking unreal man. Legend of the city.” The video shows a wad of $20 bills held up to the camera, while Drake waves from the back seat of the car.

Drake also posted a 30-second Christmas video to Instagram. “Merry Christmas From The Gang,” he wrote in the caption. The video shows Drake lying on the floor, facing the camera, while his four-year-old son Adonis and another youngster wrestle on top of him.
