Canadian hip-hop icon Drake has announced the surprise-release of his seventh studio album, with the forthcoming Honestly, Nevermind set to arrive within a matter of hours.
The news was shared by Drake on his official Instagram account this morning, sharing the artwork for his latest full-length effort and noting it would release at midnight. Though no specific indication of which timezone this relates to, it’s likely that it refers to the rapper’s native Toronto, meaning that the album would ostensibly arrive at 2pm AEST on Friday, 17 June.
Currently, further details in regards to the album’s content, features, or production remains under wraps for the time being.

Despite a lack of information, Drake also announced on Instagram earlier in the day that, one hour before the record’s release, he will make an appearance on Sirius XM’s Sound 42, premiering his first radio show, Table For One.
Honestly, Nevermind is set to follow on from Drake’s most recent album, with Certified Lover Boy arriving back in September of 2021.
Certified Lover Boy was itself released following numerous delays, and ultimately resulted in Drake’s seventh consecutive chart-topping release in both the US and his native Canada, while also boasting singles such as ‘Way 2 Sexy’ and ‘Girls Want Girls’, which both peaked within the top ten in Australia.
