Eclipse 2012: New Festival Announced

The Music.com.au have reported that in celebration of this year’s upcoming solar eclipse, a special 7-day music festival titled Eclipse 2012 has been announced.

Eclipse 2012 will take place from Saturday 10 November to Friday 16 November in Cairns, with the solar eclipse predicted to take place during the morning of Wednesday November 14 in Northern Australia.

The festival has been put together by the organisers of Australia’s Rainbow Serpent, UK’s Glade Festival and USA festival Symbiosis. Given the cosmic atmosphere of the festival, it’s not too surprising that the lineup announced so far consists of mostly trance acts. However, a range of artists will appear covering genres such as chill, broken beats, gypsy, and reggae.
