Ed Sheeran‘s doing pretty well with his music, headlining Glastonbury and scoring a number one album all around the world, but it seems he wants to turn his attention to film.
Sheeran has been in “talks” to make and soundtrack a biopic that’s being described by the singer himself as, “8 Mile meets Notting Hill.”
Yep, he wants to cross the movie about Eminem that gave us Lose Yourself with the movie that landed Hugh Grant a role in every British comedy forever.
“I want to have an 8 Mile moment but 8 Mile meets Notting Hill,” he told Q (via NME).
“Not gritty like Detroit but, like, Ipswich. I’ve got loads of songs about Ipswich that haven’t come out so I could make a soundtrack.”
He’s planning to Soundtrack the movie with his own songs and is aiming for a, “low-budget, indie, British-made film,” as he further explained to The Sun.
“I am in talks with one filmmaker that I really fucking love and we are going to slowly but surely put something together. I would want to cast all unknowns,” he said.
Of course, it won’t all be unknowns. Sheeran plans to star in the film himself.
