The Great Escape – the UK festival which prides itself on supporting exciting new artists – will be graced by a strong Aussie contingent in 2015, thanks in part to the efforts of the Australian music development initiative Sounds Australia.
A variety of Australian talent will spend a day at the British seaside for the festival. Hip hop artist Remi, indie group Little May, Adelaide rockers Bad//Dreems (pictured), many-membered indie group Saskwatch and Melbourne band Twerps lead the festival’s Aussie roster. They’re joined by rock outfit Apes, singer-songwriter Fraser A. Gorman, folk duo Pierce Brothers, psych-rock band Flyying Colours and more. Check the full list below.
The Great Escape has now unveiled the first 150 global names for its 2015 shindig, including the likes of modern soul/rock outfit Alabama Shakes, London art-rockers Django Django, American post-hardcore group Slaves and sister-duo Ibeyi, as well as the Thurston Moore Band, Mapei, Girl Band and Jack Garrett.
