American rap legend Eminem released his new single “Houdini,” with a music video on Friday, May 31st. The track is a leading single from his forthcoming 12th studio album, ‘The Death of Slim Shady (Coup De Grâce)’.
Last week, Eminem announced his new track, “Houdini,” upon the world by randomly FaceTiming legendary magician David Blaine. In the clip, the FaceTiming Blaine, Em reaches out for some of his magical expertise. “Yo, listen, I need your help with something,” he said. “Wanting to know is how far can we take this magic? Can we do a stunt or something?”

Fans went wild when he hinted at possible retirement in the next minute: “‘Well for my last trick, I’m gonna make my career disappear,’ he teased, suggesting The Death of Slim Shady might be his final album.”
The new album will come out this summer, marking Eminem’s first project since Music to Be Murdered By, released in January 2020, during which he scored his 10th consecutive No. 1 album on the Billboard 200.
Eminem unveiled the project after he appeared at the 2024 NFL Draft in his native Detroit. He teased the album beforehand by sharing a trailer designed like an episode of Unsolved Mysteries, with a bit of detective work on that clip finding a cameo from 50 Cent. Still, it was Dr. Dre dropping the beans in mid-March on Jimmy Kimmel Live!
The Death of Slim Shady (Coup De Grâce) seems to be on the way, and fans cannot wait to see, what the album holds for them.
