Eminem’s New Record Set For A Mid-Year Release

Eminem is expected to release his first studio album in three years soon after the US Memorial Day (May 27).

Billboard reports that Shady Records president Paul Rosenberg told the magazine that the rapper is “far into the process” of creating his follow-up to 2010’s Recovery.

Rosenburg added that he “fully expects” a new record from the rapper as he gears up to do some dates in Europe in August, including his headlining slot at the Reading and Leeds Festivals in the UK.

“We fully expect to be releasing a new Eminem album in 2013,” he said.

“He’s been working on it for some time. It’s safe to say that it will be post-Memorial Day at some point, but we’re not exactly sure when.

“We’ve got some dates locked in for him to perform live in Europe in August, so we’re trying to see what else lines up.”

Eminem first teased that his new album will arrive in 2013, with the release of an exclusive hat in his online store in October last year. The hat had ‘World Champion’ and a list of dates on the side, marking each year that he’s released a studio album. 2013 was included, hence confirming a new album release.
