Emotional Oranges Announce Two 2024 Australian Shows

Emotional Oranges have announced that they will return to Australia in August 2024, marking their first shows here in some two years. The visit from the Los Angeles rnb duo is a fleeting one, with the pair only in Australia for roughly 48 hours. They will perform at Melbourne’s 170 Russell on Tuesday August 20th, followed by Sydney’s Metro Theatre on Wednesday August 21st.

The duo are touring in support of their fifth studio album, Still Emo. The album was released in August of 2023, and featured collaborations with the likes of Tkay Maidza (‘Be Somebody’), ZHU (‘Not Like This’) and Nonso Amadi (‘Not Worth It’). Their collaboration with Amadi expanded into a four-track EP, Blended, which was released in January of 2024.

Joining Emotional Oranges as opener for the two shows are Chiiild, a self-described “experimental soul” band from Montreal, Canada. The shows will mark Chiiild’s first in Australia, and come in support of their second album, 2023’s Better Luck in the Next Life. They had previously toured with Emotional Oranges back in 2019, as part of their ‘Very Emotional Tour’, and collaborated on the 2021 single ‘Bonafide’ from their third album The Juicebox.

A pre-sale for both shows begins from 11am AEST on Wednesday, May 29th. A general sale follows on Friday, May 31st – again from 11am AEST. Both can be accessed via Frontier Touring.
