Ex-3 Doors Down Bassist Todd Harrell Sentenced To 10 Years In Prison

A founding member and ex-bassist of 3 Doors Down, Todd Harrell, has been sentenced to 10 years in prison.

TMZ reports that Harrell was arrested back in June after allegedly assaulting his wife. In the search of the house which police conducted at the time, they allegedly found guns and drugs, which led to Harrell’s arrest.

The 10 year prison sentence was for possession of a firearm by a felon — Harrell had previously had a stint in prison in 2015 for his involvement in a deadly car crash in 2013.

Harrell was driving while on drugs when he hit another car, which caused the vehicle to hit a guard rail and the driver to die from the injuries they sustained. He was released on $100,000 bail.

On top of that, Harrell was charged with another DUI in early 2014.

Judge Robert Krebs has now handed Harrell the maximum possible prison sentence for the offences he had committed.

Following the 2013 car crash, Harrell was booted from 3 Doors Down and replaced by Justin Biltonen. Harrell featured on albums The Better Life, Away From The Sun, Seventeen Days, 3 Doors Down and Time Of My Life.
