This Friday, 28th June is going to be folking awesome! A bunch of Sydney’s finest folk and country acts will be streaming live to the internet from Music Feeds Studio. Each act will take to the stage for around 30 minutes. Take note of the start times below and be sure to tune in.

On the back of their debut EP release, Sydney folk/pop duo Achoo! Bless You will be poking their heads into the Music Feeds Studio to showcase a selection of tracks from the No Island EP and a brand new yet-to-be-released song. Ross & Ash have also invited a couple of their favourite local musicians and good buddies Sophia Felton and Leigh Elphick to accompany them, fleshing out the duo’s sound and putting a bit of kick into the performance. The band will be showcasing their toe-tapping second single No Way of Knowing as well as their crowd-favourite debut single Before We Say Goodbye, which has enjoyed airplay on triple j, Sydney’s FBi 94.5 and other community radio stations. To showcase their diversity, Achoo! Bless You will also perform Open Book, one of the more stripped back, sensitive tracks from the No Island EP, highlighting the band’s signature call & response style. Fans of the band will also be excited to hear the debut of a new song called Long Shadows from Achoo! Bless You’s forthcoming EP. Heartfelt lyrics and engaging storytelling are the essence of Isaac Graham’s interesting style of punk rock influenced folk. Having spent the last two years writing and recording his new album Glorious Momentum, the follow up to his well received 2009 debut Empty Vessels, Graham is excited about sharing a selection of new songs at the Msic Feeds Studio. Coinciding with release date of the new album, the Music Feeds set will be an opportunity for Graham to celebrate as he perform.

Sydney based singer-songwriter Leroy Lee has been performing his lyrical and heartfelt original songs all over the country over the past years. Leroy will be performing two songs from his latest release Arcadia, and three from previous releases. He is accompanied by Joe Gould (drums – Crooked Fiddle Band), Dan Freeman (bass – Fanny Lumsden) and the wonderful Lisa Salvo (harmony vocals). Folk Day also just happens to be Leroy’s birthday, so a big shout out to the man for joining us in the studio to celebrate!

Morgan ‘Billygoat’ Tucker, the frontman of Sydney country/ blues band, Billygoat & the Mongrels, will be playing his solo material, highlighting his powerful, narrative style lyrics and delicate guitar picking, making for a much more intimate affair than an averagely raucous ‘mongrels’ gig.

At a time when for most it would be the end of a relationship, for Australian band The Falls this feels like just the beginning. Almost subconsciously The Falls have documented their whole relationship in their songs. The love, the betrayal, the heartbreak. While at times it is hard for them to wear their hearts so openly on their sleeve, for The Falls, it has been a huge part of their songwriting. Having toured nationally this year with The Lumineers, and with Of Monsters And Men, Passenger and Avalanche City in 2012, The Falls are fast developing an impressive live resume. With their sweet lyrics and beautiful harmonies, indie duo The Falls bring a warmth to the stage that makes them a must see for lovers of acoustic folk. With an unmistakable sound, barefoot collaborators and best friends The Falls are gently making a name for themselves in 2013. Their debut EP Hollywood is out now.
