Melbourne songwriter Cam Gilmour has unveiled his upcoming second EP, Anhedonia, and you can stream it exclusively on Music Feeds before it drops next Tuesday, 7th October.
Gilmour is a versatile musician who has performed and recorded as part of Melbourne rock outfit Behind Crimson Eyes, as well as playing drums on tour for Aussie hip hop artist Illy. With Anhedonia, Gilmour blends his eclectic musical background into a diverse but cohesive instrumental collection, with some truly beautiful results.
The lead song from the extended-play is The Old Man and his Tea, an emotionally charged instrumental piece that plays like the score to a poignant, coming-of-age moment from a dramatic film. It’s a firm example of what you can expect from the rest of Anhedonia, which is available for digital and physical pre-order via Cam Gilmour’s Bandcamp.
A limited number of CD pre-orders will also come with a bonus zine, titled As Dire As Its Title. The book contains a collection of Gilmour’s short essays on the day-to-day life of being a musician and artist. All pre-orders offer up an instant download of The Old Man and his Tea.
You can stream Anhedonia in full below.
