Eyehategod Cancel 2015 Australian Tour

Fans of southern sludge metal veterans Eyehategod could be left hating life, following news that the band has been forced to cancel their upcoming Australian tour, which was scheduled to kick off next Thursday, 29th January.

According to tour promoter Life Is Noise, frontman Mike Williams has been unwell for some time, recently having to cancel a tour with his other band, Corrections House.

“We have been told that Mike will not be able to make it to Australia due to poor health,” the promoter said in a statement. “Life Is Noise has not been made aware of the specific nature of these issues but have been informed that they will preclude the band from travelling here.”

“We would like to apologise to all fans and all others inconvenienced by this cancellation. We have done everything possible to make this tour happen in what have been difficult circumstances,” the promoter added.

Refunds will be available from point of purchase. Eyehategod had originally intended to come Down Under in support of their fifth, self-titled studio album, their first release since the death of drummer Joey LaCaze in 2013.
