Face The Music 2016 Unveils Full Program

Face The Music 2016 is edging closer, and what was already shaping up to be a hectic few days of music industry happenings has now become even more so, with the addition of a bunch more speakers and live performances.

First up, some of the eclectic local acts who’ll be entertaining us with showcases at this year’s event include euphoric poppers GL and Dorsal Fins, mesmerising rocker Jess Ribeiro, punk rap warrior Ecca Vandal, the synthy SAATSUMA, the enchanting Nai Palm and many more (catch the full list below).

And while we already knew that the likes of Tkay Maidza, Briggs and Japanese Wallpaper would be speaking at the event, more has been revealed about the nature of their keynotes.

Briggs will be moderating a talk dubbed Empowering Communities Through Leadership, while Tkay Maidza and Japanese Wallpaper will team up with Totally Mild’s Elizabeth Mitchell to present The Idiosyncrasies of Artist Management.

One of the big-name new additions to the 2016 speaker lineup includes ya boys Peking Duk, who’ll be dishing up a chat sesh dubbed ‘Australiana’ – A Tour Goes Under the Microscope.

Further additions to the bill of gasbaggers include Alex Lahey, PR champion Bec Florence, triple j presenter Gemma Pike plus titan of industry Michael Hohnen.

Around 100 music industry pros will be descending on the State Library of Victoria for the two action-packed days, making Face The Music a not-to-miss event for those with their finger to the pulse.

Check out all the details below.
