Californian alt-metal group Faith No More teased fans with hints of new material in the works via their newly-created official Twitter account yesterday.

Faith No More’s very first tweet (below) was a selfie of frontman Mike Patton, with the caption, “Hey! Stay tuned for more Tweets from Twats!!! The reunion thing was fun, but now it’s time to get a little creative.”

The band also announced their inaugural Twitter post on Facebook, adding, “Please keep us informed of your hopes, dreams and aspirations and what you would do with a pineapple and a pair of pliers.”

Faith No More split up in 1998 but then reformed in 2009, and have been playing shows intermittently since then. Patton, who recently dethroned Axl Rose as the “greatest” singer of all time, revealed in 2013 that the band’s reunion “sort of petered out” after a while.

Despite their reunion shows, Faith No More haven’t put out any new tunes since their 1997 release Album of the Year. If the band do put out a new record soon, it will mark their seventh full-length studio effort.
