Our favourite cheeky troubadour Father John Misty is at is again, this time penning some tongue in cheek gothic lyrics for Jeff Beal’s opening theme for House of Cards.
The show’s opening of course has been instrumental for the last four seasons, but let’s face it has kind of been begging for someone to do this for a while. Misty just beat everyone to the punch (Randy Newman where are you?).
Misty – better known to friends and family as Josh Tillman – does a pretty bang up job on the libretto for this one though, clearly having picked up a thing or two from his recent writing collab with Beyonce on Hold Up off Lemonade. I mean where else would you go from that but House Of Cards, nah mean?
