Tasmania’s ultra-boutique A Festival Called Panama has just unveiled the first round of artists for its 2018 event, so prepare your adrenal glands.
Topping the bill for the epic fifth instalment of the forest fest is Brooklyn indie darlings Grizzly Bear — who are already headed down under for Golden Plains 2018 armed with new album Painted Ruins — alongside renowned producer Thundercat, art rocker Perfume Genius, Australian rapper Sampa The Great, Alice Ivy, Daptone soul legend Lee Fields and loads more.
They’ll take to the main stage at the three-day camping festival, while smaller venues set in old canvas tents and tiny candlelit bars will host sideshows of wild jazz, world class cabarets, intimate acoustic sessions, DJ sets, afternoon storytelling, delicious pop-up food stalls and tasty Tasmanian produce from local brewers, vineyards and distillers.
A Festival Called Panama will go down across the weekend of March 9th, 10th, and 11th on the Apple Isle, and coming off the back of two sold-out years with only 1,500 tickets on offer this time around, you’d better get in quick if you don’t want to miss out.
