This year’s Festival of the Sun in Port Macquarie is already hosting a smashing lineup of acts like Gang of Youths, Montaigne, Thebarton Brothel Party, Luca Brasi, Urthboy and The Smith Street Band, but that impressive list has just become slightly longer.
Triple j Unearthed competition winners Los Scallywags will now be playing alongside all of the aforementioned legends at the two-day summer-time-loving musical bonanza.
The band, made up of two brothers (Joe and Nat Tyrell) and their mate Dale Smith, play lo-fi and high-energy garage punk which is perfect for ruffling your feathers to in the Festival Of The Sun sunshine. Think Ty Segall, DZ Deathrays and Dune Rats.
