Set to take place on Sunday May 1st, Cherry Bar Melbourne’s Cherry Rock 2016 has just finalised its full lineup.
With the first lineup announcement already jam packed full of killer acts, the tenth birthday edition of the festival has gone a step further, announcing Indonesian four-piece The Sigit as its fourth international act. They join fellow overseas acts Kadavar (Germany), Supersuckers (USA) and Richie Ramone (USA) alongside a huge local contingent.
“The Sigit from Indonesia sound like Graveyard from Sweden” said Cherry Owner James Young. “Ten years under our belts and I firmly believe this is our best line-up ever”.
The recent announcement brings a change to local the line-up, with Melbourne punk rock outfit Clowns no longer attending the event after being named on the lineup for Belgium’s Groezrock festival. They’re set to be more than ably replaced by fellow Melbourne hardcore group High Tension.
“With locals such as High Tension, Power, Dead City Ruins and Dallas Frasca I know Melbourne’s CherryRock street rock n roll festival shall stand proudly alongside the legendary Richie Ramone himself, together, too tough too die!” added James Young.
Cherry Rock 2016 will take place on Sunday, 1st May on the city’s iconic AC/DC Lane. Check out all the deets below.
