The final instalment of the Sounds Better Together concert series will be broadcast on TV next Saturday, 30th January.
The series, which is a collaboration between the Victorian government and Mushroom Group, will finish up in Mallacoota, with James Reyne, Daryl Braithwaite, Vika & Linda, and Mia Wray performing.
Sounds Better Together has seen a slew of Aussie artists perform in the series. Each time in a different Victorian town.
Other artists featured in the series include Missy Higgins, Jimmy Barnes, Tones and I, Didirri, Gordi, and more. They hit up Victoria’s Surf Coast and Yarra Valley, with Rutherglen and Mallacoota to come.
“We’re honoured to be able to team up with Mushroom Group and Visit Victoria to broadcast this incredible initiative. Live music is such an important part of Australian culture. It gives a platform to so many talented musicians and brings joy to the audience,” Nine’s Program Director, Hamish Turner said.
“I hope by broadcasting 2021 Sounds Better Together on Nine, we can remind audiences of their love for live music and that we have hope for a better year for all ahead.
“We’d also encourage our viewers to get out and explore all that’s great about Victoria, especially after the particularly tough year the state endured.”
Mushroom Group founder and chairman Michael Gudinski said he’s thrilled Nine is broadcasting the concert, saying, “Everyone across Australia has an opportunity to experience the 2021 Sounds Better Together Shows, even if they can’t be at them in person.”
