The first-ever instalment of Western Australia’s SunSets Festival arrives today, with a lineup featuring the likes of Alison Wonderland, Flight Facilities and George Maple. Before things kick off at 2pm, festival organisers have shared their last-minute tips for having a kick-ass time on Fremantle’s South Beach later today.
The 2016 SunSets Festival is an 18+ event and is completely sold out, so there will be no tickets for sale at the event (i.e. don’t come if you don’t have a ticket). Also, bring ID because you’ll need it for entry.
With a hot 30+ degree day forecast for Fremantle, organisers are urging punters to use sun protection and stay hydrated — there will be water refill stations around the festival site to help out.
The quickest and easiest way to get to and from the festival will be public transport. Festival tickets include free travel on all Transperth services, just show your ticket or Corona SunSets wristband to the driver/inspector.
There will also be shuttle buses operating from Fremantle Train Station and the venue during the festival. You can use this service by showing your festival ticket or wristband too.
