Get ready to fall in love. The first act confirmed for Meredith Music Festival 2015 is none other than The High Priest himself Father John Misty.
“In rapturous news just hand-delivered to my caravan, Father John Misty has accepted our invitation to play at Sunset, in The Sup’, for The 25th Meredith,” said Aunty Meredith in a statement this morning.
Aunty confirmed Father John Misty will play the festival around sunset on Saturday Night and went on to proclaim her excitement in sentences mostly devoid of adjectives. “There’s the man himself, there’s his music, and his band. Then there’s his popularity, and there will be anticipation, and excitement. And there’s Sunset, on the second night, in the Supernatural Amphitheatre: the sweet spot.”
The ex-Fleet Foxes stick man will be touting love tunes from his most excellent latest record I Love You, Honeybear. For an example of what to expect, catch a clip from one of his recent television performances below.
Meredith Music Festival will return to its usual stomping grounds near Golden Plains in Victoria on 11th, 12th and 13th December this year. You can enter the ticket ballot right here. There will be two rounds – the first is for pre-existing subscribers and the second is for new subscribers.
The first round of ticket offers will be made around 13th August and the second will follow around 20th August.
