US singer-songwriter Kenny Chesney is one of the biggest names in country music. With 14 of his 20 albums certified gold or higher, his star is huge in the States, but his concerts have developed a bit of a reputation for getting slightly out of hand.
Last Saturday Chesney played a gig in Pittsburg that saw 25 people taken to hospital for intoxication or issues relating to alcohol abuse, CBS News reports.
Police also reported a five arrests for charges including ticket robbery, trespassing, assault and public intoxication. There were also 36 citations handed out for underage drinking.
“My sixth Kenny Chesney concert it’s been the best experience ever. It’s the main concert we always choose to go to,” Layra Hytla told CBS. “I feel like it’s just as bad as ever. I hate that but at the same time you’re always walking on garbage, it shouldn’t be like that but it is.”
In 2013 a Chesney concert made national headlines when 72 people were arrested and patrons left over 30 tonnes of trash, also at a concert in Pittsburg.
Check out some photos that twitter users have uploaded of the aftermath, as well as first had footage of an arrest.
