After selling out both Laneway Festival sideshows in just hours, the high-in-demand FKA twigs has announced two more headlining gigs in Melbourne and Sydney.
Both new dates will take place in the same venues as the sold-out shows, with the second gig at Melbourne’s 170 Russell taking place on Thursday, 29th January and Sydney’s Metro Theatre’s newly added show happening on Tuesday, 3rd February.
The new Melbourne date is an ‘early show’ and fans are advised to check out 170 Russell for details. General public tickets for FKA twigs’ new Laneway sideshows go on sale from 9am (local time) Monday, 24th November.
This will be the first time FKA twigs, real name Tahliah Barnett, has performed before Australian audiences. Considering Barnett can play, sing, and is former pro dancer, Aussie fans should be in for something special when she arrives next year.
The 26-year-old British-born artist has taken the music world by storm behind her 2014 Mercury Prize nominated debut album LP1. As part of Laneway 2015, FKA twigs will share the road with acts like Flight Facilities, Royal Blood, and POND.
