The Flaming Lips have announced two side shows to coincide with their Harvest Festival appearance later this year. Adelaide and Melbourne will be lucky enough to experience them outside a festival environment, with shows at Thebarton Theatre, and The Palace.
Recently they’ve been releasing a number of odd creations, including a gummy skull vagina, and of course, a bubblegum flavoured gummy fetus. The Flaming Lips 6 hour song, I Found This Star on the Ground has emerged online for all to hear. If you have a spare 6 hours, sit back and check it out, although you may want to buy the Flaming Lips Strobe toy and some LSD to get the full effect of the song.
We last saw The Flaming lips in 2009, playing Splendour in the Grass as well as side shows in Sydney and Melbourne.
