It’s officially the return of the Mac. That’s right, the rumours are true (Ok we’ll stop there), Brit-American rock veterans Fleetwood Mac are returning Down Under for massive headlining tour this year and, what’s more, they’re doing it with their original lineup.
This is not a Little River Band scenario, we repeat, this is not a Little River Band scenario. Christine McVie has rejoined bandmates Mick Fleetwood, John McVie, Lindsey Buckingham and Stevie Nicks after a 16-year absence, meaning all five original Fleetwood members will reunite for the epic On With The Show World Tour, which will see them perform eight Aussie dates.
Touring as a five-piece for the first time since 1998, the Mac Attack will play a selection of arena, stadium and winery shows across Sydney, Perth, Melbourne, Geelong, Brisbane and the Hunter Valley this October and November, to mark their first series of concert dates in Australia since 2009’s sold-out Unleashed Tour.
The band were scheduled to return to our shores back in 2013, but were forced to postpone due to bassist John McVie receiving treatment for cancer.
The On With The Show Tour will see Fleetwood Mac perform a marathon two-and-a-half hour set, showcasing hits and classic songs from across their more than four-decade career.
Tickets for all shows go on sale from 10am, Wednesday 1st April.
