New Zealand’s self-described fourth most popular folk duo, Flight Of The Conchords, have returned to TV to perform their unreleased song ‘Father & Son’ on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert, ahead of their upcoming HBO special.
Bret McKenzie and Jemaine Clement performed the song — which isn’t new; they’ve been performing it live for years — after sitting down to chat with Colbert about what they’ve been up to lately.
“We’ve just been getting ready for tonight,” joked McKenzie, before the duo chatted about New Zealand Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern, touring with their children and “the fame horse”.
The pair’s hour-long HBO special ‘Flight of the Conchords: Live at the London Apollo’ will premiere in the US on 6th October.
