Flo Rida must have a thing for court cases.
Fresh from being forced to repay Fat As Butter organisers over $400,000 for his no-show at last year’s festival, an American court is now suing him for not paying off his massive home security system at his Miami mansion.
TMZ reports that the Whistle singer is being sued by ADT — the largest home security company in the United States — which claims it wired up Flo’s home back in 2009 with a system that included dozens of sensors, smoke detectors and at least 27 security cameras.
ADT included a copy of the contract in their lawsuit, which was signed by Lee Prince — who is reportedly Flo’s manager.
According to the lawsuit, Flo paid the initial deposit of $19,366.66, but after the system was installed, the rapper didn’t pay the remaining $38,733.
Now, ADT wants the remaining money plus interest, which brings the total Flo owes to $47,134.40.
Flo Rida has fired back at the claims, saying that he never authorised the installation of the system despite Prince’s signature, and that he doesn’t owe the company a cent.
It will be interesting to see how this one pans out.
