Splendour In The Grass-headliner Florence + The Machine is playing two small sideshows while she’s here and while they’re currently sold out, they have just announced another release of tickets for those who missed out.
Tickets for the Sydney and Melbourne shows were originally sold through a ticket ballot which over 40,000 people registered for – way over the capacity of the venues. In order to get a few more heads through the door, some extra tickets are being released, however, tour promoters Laneway warn that it’s an extremely limited number.
Like you needed even more convincing, Sydney up-and-comers Mansionair have been announced as the support act for both shows. The band had a stellar run as part of the Laneway Festival lineup this year and will take to the Splendour In The Grass stage next week too. They also were the support for alt-J earlier in the year.
These last tickets will go on sale tomorrow Friday 17th July at 10am AEST. The first show will be next Wednesday 22nd July in Melbourne with Flo and co hitting Sydney the night after.
Florence + The Machine are set to headline the Saturday night of Splendour In The Grass and fans have been advised to stay tuned for more exciting news from Florence’s camp ahead of her headline appearance.
