Florence Welch injured her foot on the first show of her Australian tour at the Burswood Dome in Perth last night. The singer tripped and took a gash out of her foot when she went back stage after the band’s final song. She returned to the stage for an encore minutes later, limping around during performances of Never Let Me Go and No Light No Light. Her guitarist then carried her from the stage with visible blood coming from her foot.
The injury did not appear to be too serious and is unlikely to affect the rest of the tour .
The band will now head to Melbourne on Sunday for a show at Rod Laver Arena, with shows coming up in Adelaide, Sydney and Brisbane next week.
