Out of the blue, Foals have launched a scathing assessment of fellow countrymen Enter Shikari, labelling the post-hardcore mad dogs as “trampoline jumping twats”. Nationality may have been the only two things the band seemed to have in common, but it now appears they also share a twisted sense of humor.
About 4 hours ago, Foals tweeted a rather crude and enigmatic message – “Also enter shikari can go fuck themselves, trampoline jumping twats”. Moments after the tweet, the band, potentially a few beers into their evening, tweeted “LOL” followed up “100% horsemeat #Nobeef” referring not only to the horse meat scare in Europe at the moment, but also their relationship with ES.
The potential Twitter war got a pretty intense response from fans who had no idea what to make of it, as there were no signs of any previous bad blood between the band. But it all came to light as Enter Shikari tweeted, “For the record there’s no beef with @foalsfoalsfoals,” instructing those who got too carried away to “stop gossiping everyone it’s just twitter nonsense! Go read a book :)”
Oh, you guys! Both band are currently very buzzworthy with Foals only recently touring here as part of Big Day Out, and of course Enter Shikari are hard at it in the studio for a new album.
