FOMO Festival on January 9th in Brisbane was an unmitigated success, with the stand alone day featuring huge headline sets from the likes of internationals Jamie xx, RL Grime and Skepta, and locals Tkay Maidza and Flight Facilities.
Now there’s news for anyone who experienced real FOMO from being unable to head up north for the event, with organisers flagging the very real possibility for expansion across other cities in 2017. Known advocates against QLD’s strict lockout laws, the organisers may now look to expand their anti-lockout message to other major cities.
In an epic video wrap-up pasted to the FOMO Facebook page featuring the music of standout performer Jamie XX, there is a final message left for punters at the end that reads “Next year Brisbane, you won’t be the only city with FOMO…”
Where the expansion may occur is anyone’s guess, but for starters Brisbanites can lock in FOMO’s return for 2017, while the rest of us spam-refresh our browsers hoping to see our home town announced as one of the cities lucky enough to be #blessed next year.
