Update 07/07/11: Foo Fighters have announced an Australian Tour for the end of 2011! They will be joined by Tenacious D. Foo Fighters Australian Tour 2011
—
The Foo Fighters have hinted that they might announce some Australian Tour dates tomorrow (July 7th). If the dates are for 2011, this will be the second lot of shows they’ve performed in our country this year.
This morning the band left a clue via their facebook page: “Good morning AUS + NZ. So…. Are you guys gonna be around tomorrow ? Checkin the facebooks & stuff ? Kinda have something we should talk about….cough cough.. rock tour.. cough cough..”
This isn’t the first time it’s been mentioned they would come back later on this year. Triple M’s music reporter Nui Te Koha revealing to the Hot Breakfast that the band were currently in negotiations with promoters and just getting their dates in order.
“They’re going to go out and do the European and British festival circuit in June/July and it looks like we’ll get tagged onto the end of the year.”
There was also some rumours they might be out here on the Soundwave Revolution Line up, but these rumours were quickly denied by Soundwave promoter AJ Maddah.
