That wonderful time of the year has now come when the number crunchers over at Forbes put together the list of richest things for us to gaze upon in awe and furious jealousy – none quite as much as the Forbes Richest DJs list.
You’ll be pleased to know, the sample group seems to be making slightly less than previous years but they can still afford to buy and sell your sorry ass, mate.
Post-Tay Tay Calvin Harris remains at the top of the list and pulled in three million less than the previous year, but the dude does still have a cool $63 million to wipe away his tears with. You have to almost half that to get to 2nd place, Tiësto. Tiësto actually made a profit, somehow, as he’s off album cycle, pulling in $38 million this year.
David Guetta copped it harder than most, down almost $10 million from last year, pulling in $28 million as the world slowly realises his music is David Guetta featuring “The person who does the whole song”.
26 year-old producer Zedd was another big money maker pulling in $24.5 million while mainstays like Steve Aoki, Diplo and Skrillex are pretty low down considering their profile, pulling $23.5 million, $23 million and $20 million respectively.
Just like last year, Afrojack and Avicii bring in the rear, scraping by on just $15 million and $14.5 million. Like, how are they even going to survive?
