A “world first” AC/DC orchestral tribute tour has been announced, featuring former members of bands like Judas Priest, Noiseworks and (of course) AC/DC.
The ‘Let There Be Rock: Orchestrated’ tour will see some of Acca Dacca’s biggest hits performed by a lineup of rockers, along with a 30-piece symphony orchestra.
The show features former AC/DC drummer Simon Wright (who played with the band between 1983 and 1989, before joining Dio), alongside the likes of former Judas Priest member Tim ‘Ripper’ Owens, Noiseworks’ Steve Balbi and former The Angels member James Morley.
Organisers say the two-hour production will be fronted by Owens and rock vocalist Cynthia Gallie, and will hit theatres in Melbourne, Perth, Sydney and Thirroul between November and December.
