Fred Wesley 2nd show at the Basement August 10th (Aug 9th Sold Out)

Due to over whelming demand Niche Productions are proud to announce a second show from Fred Wesley at the Basement next Monday August 10.

As well as selling out his Sunday show at the Basement on August 9, Fred is playing the Hi-Fi in Melbourne on August 8 and now a second and final show at the Basement next Monday.

The Alabama native who is best known as James Brown’s right hand man and leader of The JBs has been wowing audiences all over the world, most recently at the Luxembourg Jazz Festival.

Currently, Fred is spending the week in Perth with the Western Australia Youth Jazz Orchestra mentoring the Australian jazz stars of tomorrow as well as performing at the Perth Concert Hall Friday August 7.

A veteran of the renowned Count Basie Orchestra, Wesley also has played with and arranged for a wide variety of other artists including Ray Charles, Pancho Sanchez, New York Voices, Slide Hampton, Van Morrison, Usher, the SOS Band and Cameo.

So to those who missed out on tickets to the Sunday show, don’t miss out the second time around at a chance to see this living legend perform at one of Sydney’s most intimate jazz venues.
