There’s A Free Hottest 100 Party With A Smokin’ Lineup Happening On Australia Day

The Hottest 100 of 2016 just got even hotter, thanks to a huge celebratory bash going down in Sydney’s West.

The City of Parramatta has got your January 26th plans covered, chucking a party of epic proportions MC’d by Bluejuice frontman-turned-solo dynamo Jake Stone and featuring performances from L-Fresh The Lion, Olympia, VEAZAH and Vintagé aka Liverpool dance-pop duo VXV, The Plot unearthed artist FROYO, Aboriginal artist Kuren and more.

Going down at Parramatta Park, the free, day-long all-ages festival will also be packing an outdoor bar, Aussie and international BBQ, food trucks, amusement rides and a classic cricket match with Cricket NSW, with triple j‘s Hottest 100 countdown streaming in between sets, and from 5:45pm to 8pm for the critical list’s top rankings.

Parramatta Park and Western Sydney Parklands Trusts Executive Director Suellen Fitzgerald says, “We’re proud to be supporting talented, emerging Western Sydney artists on the Hottest 100 stage in World Heritage-listed Parramatta Park, ahead of Australia’s biggest music countdown”.

Always great to see local government getting behind live music (especially at the same time as their state counterparts seem to be trying to destroy it).
