Friendly Fires have posted teasers to their Facebook page, sending fans wild at the possibility of a return to music for the band soon.
While the last music we heard from the British alt rockers came via a collaboration with The Asphodells in 2014 titled ‘Velo,’ their last album Pala was released way back in 2011.
The band updated their profile picture to a photo of silhouettes of the band standing behind waves of smoke and colour, while they also uploaded a colorfully trippy clip with the words ‘Friendly Fires’ fading in and out of view.
We last got news about a potential third album in 2012 when Friendly Fires announced they’d planned to lock themselves away in a Swedish log cabin to find inspiration.
In an interview with NME later that year Friendly Fires frontman Ed Macfarlane said that all their new tracks were eight-minutes long, and also teased the possibility that their next album could be released under a different name.
With this latest update, we could very well see new music from the outfit before the year is out.
