Future Music 2014 Dates Revealed, Good Life Expanding To Perth And Brisbane Next Year

UPDATE: Good Life Festival 2014 lineup announced – full details here!

A recently announced partnership between Mushroom Group and Future Entertainment seems to be doing only good things for all concerned, with an expanded Good Life for 2014 and the dates for next year’s Future Music Festival also being announced.

Mushroom Group confirmed this afternoon that they have merged with Future Entertainment, the company responsible for the nationally touring Future Music Festival and Summadayze as well as the under-18s Good Life festival, which this year expanded from a Melbourne-only event to include Sydney.

Now it’s been revealed that Good Life will again be taking place in both Melbourne and Sydney next year, as well as branching out to include dates in Perth and Brisbane for the first time.

Mushroom have promised plenty of new features for Future Music Festival next year as well. A statement this afternoon says that the new arrangement will continue FMF’s move away from being a purely dance event, aiming to “amplify this diversification through access to Mushroom’s well-established resources and experience”.

The Asian leg of Future Music will continue with the new deal, as Mushroom will be furthering their presence in the region also, and will see the festival expanded to a 3-day format taking place in Kuala Lumpur.

The Future Music 2014 lineup is now expected to drop mid-September, with names already beginning to leak from what they call a “blockbuster” roster.

Speaking of the new venture, head honcho Michael Gudinski commented:

“It is with great excitement we announce our involvement with Future Music and Good Life Festivals. Our involvement with the festivals will fill a gap within the Mushroom Group that has existed to date. Future Music Festival was an early pioneer of the EDM genre and I believe our combined forces can take the festival to new heights, with an even greater focus on the fan experience and the addition of some exciting new innovations.”

The merger reaffirms Future Music Festival’s status as an Australian-owned event. Considering the fact that Australian touring powerhouse Frontier Touring also resides under the Mushroom umbrella, the event’s pulling power has now increased exponentially. Futhermore, with decades worth of experience under their belt, Mushroom are sure to handle the reins of the events effortlessly.

More information can be expected soon. Full dates and details below.
