British hardcore set Gallows have moved very quickly to appoint a new frontman, with the band recruiting former Alexisonfire singer and guitarist Wade MacNeil.
The news comes courtesy of Kerrang!, who quote MacNeil as saying,”Gallows are one of my favourite bands, so when Steph [Carter, guitar] called me the day after Sonisphere, I said yes immediately.
“I’m a fan of the band first and foremost, so this is an honour.”
Carter announced he was leaving the band on July 8, citing creative differences and stating that he and the rest of the band had “hit a crossroads in our writing process”.
The Watford punks released their last album, Grey Britain, in 2009. It was their second LP after their 2006 debut, Orchestra Of Wolves. Carter played his last show with the band, which includes his brother Steph, on July 23.
Alexisonfire’s future seems uncertain after the Canadian band lost their frontman.
