Gang of Youths have announced they will stream their sold-out show at the Lafayette in their new home of London this weekend, exclusively via TikTok. The show, which will mark the band’s first headline concert in two years, will be available to watch via the platform from 7pm AEST this Sunday, 15th August.
“We wanted you wonderful people who have supported us to be able to tune in to our first show back, no matter where you live,” commented the band in a statement. “Hopefully we can do it in person as soon as possible. Keep safe and enjoy the show.” You can follow the band on TikTok here to stay up to date and catch the show.
Back in June of this year, Gang of Youths returned with their first new music since 2017 album Go Farther in Lightness, a single titled ‘The Angel of 8th Ave.’ It also marked the first new music from the band since they found a new member informer Noah and the Whale member Tom Hobden, who replaced founding guitarist Joji Malani after his departure in 2019.
Last month, the band surprise-released a three-track EP titled total serene, which featured ‘The Angel of 8th Ave.’ along with two other tracks, ‘Asleep in the Back’ and ‘Unison’.
