Glasvegas Walk Off Stage After V Fest Bottling

Glasvegas walked off the stage after playing only four songs at V Festival in London on the weekend. Glasvegas were billed to play in between Katy B and Chase & Status and at the start of their show crowd members started throwing bottles at the them. After arguing with the crowd members who threw the bottles, they attempted to restart their set but then walked off the stage for good when bottles continued to be hurled in their direction.

Loaded Magazine, who were tweeting live from the festival, stated: Audience bottled band. Too many bottles. Had a ruck. Walked off.

The band’s management have now issued a statement:

It’s an honour for Glasvegas to play in front of any crowd. They performed at Pukkelpop before the storm blew in and we were reminded first hand how important safety of a crowd and band are. The kids that come along to the festivals are pasisonate about their music – they’ve saved and sacrificed for months to pay for tickets and want to have an amazing weekend.

The line up of the Arena Stage is very different from ‘rock ‘n’ roll’, but it really doesn’t matter what genre. Glasvegas respect this and will always give the crowd 100%. All we want is for everyone, including the band, to have a good time and go home safely.
