Golden Plains have announced their line-up for 2025, returning to the Supernatural Amphitheatre in Meredith, Victoria next March for its 17th instalment. Headlining the festival will be English singer-songwriter PJ Harvey, who returns to Australia for the first time in eight years on the back of her 10th studio album, 2023’s I Inside The Old Year Dying.
She will be joined on the international front by eclectic Irish post-punk band Fontaines D.C., making their second visit to Australia after their much-delayed February 2023 run, as well as Soulwax offshoot 2manydjs, American electropop duo Magdalena Bay and psych-rock collective Osees. The latter two also return after successful 2023 tours, while 2manydjs return for the first time since their January 2020 run supporting Fatboy Slim.

Two additions to the line-up – Irish hip-hop trio Kneecap and Swiss/Ecuadorian instrumental guitar duo Hermanos Gutiérrez – had already been announced as heading to Australia in March. The former are undertaking their first headlining tour, with many dates already sold out, while the latter were announced as the main support for Khruangbin on their national tour.
Golden Plains ran back in March, with a line-up that included acts such as The Streets, Black Country, New Road, King Stingray and Wednesday. Its sister festival, Meredith Music Festival, is set to go ahead in December with a line-up that features Jamie xx, Waxahatchee, Genesis Owusu, Angie McMahon and Glass Beams, amongst others.
