The annual Golden Plains festival has just dropped the announcement of the 2014 festival playing times, featuring sets that take place from just after midday Saturday 8th March all the way through to 5am Monday the 10th.
The single-stage nature of the event, means the set list is totally clash-free for punters making their way to the Meredith Supernatural Amphitheatre. Sixfthick will be open the event, followed by Saturday sets from the likes of Chet Faker, The Drones and Charles Bradley along with his Extraordinaries.
Notable sets on Sunday’s killer lineup includes an afternoon with Seekae and Cosmic Psychos, while the evening and early morning time slots are packed to the brim with exciting shows from You Am I, Cut Copy and Public Enemy, to name but a few.
This year’s Keynote Address will be given by none other than the cartoonist, poet, writer, painter and philosopher Michael Leunig. The theme of the address will be Spirit of Country and Sleeping Under the Stars which is something nearly every Golden Plainer does for two nights out there on the proud fields and bushy edges of the Nolan farm.
The enigmatic Aunty Meredith has reiterated the festival’s No Dickhead Policy, sending out a friendly reminder that anyone attempting to get into the festival without a valid ticket, be it on foot, in vehicle or other means, will be prosecuted.
