Gordi was up for this week’s Like A Version and look, we needed this. Covering absolute tune, ‘Wrecking Ball’ by Miley Cyrus, Gordi’s vocals mixed with the instrumentals bring the feels (and chills) to her version of the, already certified, banger. And, in classic Gordi fashion, her vocals sound so, so good.
On the Miley Cyrus cover, Gordi reckons it’s a nod to Hannah Montana. “My friends used to pay me out and call me Hannah Montana because I was kind of leading this double life of being a musician and then also going through medical school,” she said.
We also received a performance of her original track ‘Sandwiches’. Here, Gordi strips it down a little bit, performing on an acoustic guitar with the help of the band.
