The Grindmother is a seriously legitimate grindcore band from Canada fronted by a 67-year-old nan.
How did such a thing come about, you ask?
Once upon a time (in 2014), grindcore band Corrupt Leaders got one their mums to lay down some vocals on one of their new tracks.
The old biddy did such a killer job that the she was rechristened “The Grindmother”.
And now, The Grindmother has come out with a brand new track, dubbed Age Of Destruction.
Sure, “old lady sings grindcore” might seem like a cheap gimmick, but take a listen and you’ll discover that old love is actually packing some seriously mean pipes.
Besides, just think about it: Arthritis? Adult Diapers? Watching reruns of The Bill?
There’s nothing more brutal than old age.
