Canadian electronic star Grimes has suffered a mega blow – with all her live gear being stolen by some dodgy thieves in Manchester.
The incident took place following the artist’s show at the HMV Ritz in Manchester last night, with Grimes – real name Claire Boucher – taking to Twitter to raise the alarm.

The loss of her gear comes at a really bad time for Grimes as she has several festival dates lined up in the coming days. She’s scheduled to play the Electric Picnic Festival in Stradbally, Ireland tonight (September 1), as well as Heaven in London on September 5 and 6. Following those dates, she’s also on the bill for Bestival on the Isle of Wight on September 9.
Fingers crossed Grimes can get her gear back soon. If not straight away, she’s got a fair bit of time to find some new gear before she visits us in November and December for the Meredith Music Festival.
