In a tour that is sure to rustle up many memories for a whole generation of Australian music fans, Gisborne’s favourite sons Grinspoon are hitting the road to illuminate their beloved discography on stages right around the country this October and November.
Of course, Grinspoon exist in the upper echelons of Australian rock; since making their first splashes in the Aussie scene as the first band to win a triple j Unearthed band competition, the band went on to thrive over seven albums. Countless tours and accolades later, Grinspoon may have explored solo careers and different projects in recent years, but with a bombastic return in 2017 to celebrate 20 years of their seminal Guide To Better Living album, the four piece made it clear that they weren’t going anywhere.
For frontman Phil Jamieson, the tour is giving Grinspoon the opportunity to flex on more of their catalogue not given shine on the 2017 tour.
“We’re super excited to be doing this tour. We don’t get out much anymore and our last one focused primarily on our first record and this one will take a more broad approach to the little nuggets of songs that came between 1995 and 2013.”
With the announcement of this tour, Grinspoon fans should also be stoked on the news of a special edition release of a Chemical Hearts vinyl, available from October 11th!
The Chemical Hearts Tour kicks off in Freo before winding its way around Australia over 11 huge dates, supported by Adelaide favourites The Hard Aches, Novocastrian legends, The Gooch Palms and emerging Brisbane heroes, Bugs.
