Now in its second year, Gold Coast music and skating festival Shakafest has unveiled a gnarly 2017 lineup, headlined by reformed Aussie rockers Grinspoon (as part of their reunion tour), face-melting duo DZ Deathrays and hip hop outfit Butterfingers.
Aside from the headliners, this year’s Shakafest will also include sets from Perth outfit Tired Lion, Melbourne rapper Ivan Ooze, Brisbane indie-punks WAAX and more. Peep the full lineup, below.
Shakafest 2017 is going down at the Gold Coast’s Miami Tavern Precinct in August, and will also feature skate demos on a half pipe to help punters get loose.
“Shakafest aims to combine all of the Gold Coast’s most loved pastimes into one unique mini-festival by bringing together skate, a mixed genre lineup, live graffiti and market stalls,” says promoter Tamie Bennett.
“We are creating an experience that will appeal to a diverse community on the coast, and we are happy to be the leader in such a gathering.”
