Groovin’ The Moo is set to return in 2022. For this time around, the festival’s organisers have opted to run with three events instead of their usual six.
It’s been a long slog for the GTM team, with their flagship festival being forced to cancel two years in a row due to COVID-19. The team also set out to establish a new, smaller festival that aimed to fill the gaps in the regional touring schedule with a hefty government grant called Fresh Produce, but that was also forced to cancel due to COVID-19.
Next year’s smaller schedule is set to hit Maitland on Saturday, 23rd April, before heading to EPIC in Canberra the following day. The festival will wrap up a week later on Saturday, 30th April at Prince Of Wales Showground in Bendigo.
“It’s been a long time between Moo’s and we are so genuinely happy to be back on the road to some of our local regions to reconnect with artists, community, suppliers, team and most importantly, with each other,” said promoter Steve Halpin.
“We have missed you all terribly and thank you for your patience.”
Shows in Townsville, Wayville and Bunbury will not be taking place next year, with organisers saying they won’t be returning to those places until “we can confidently deliver our full quality show”.
The full lineup is expected to drop sometime in January. Tickets for the 2020 event will remain valid for the 2022 events.
